First and foremost we thank you for choosing AirKenya as your preferred carrier. After four months of suspension of operations, AirKenya is ready to take to the skies again.

Thus effective 1st August 2020 you will be able to fly into any of our destinations with peace of mind. Safety has always been the number one priority for us. Now health and safety stand above all. With this letter, I would like to let you know how Airkenya is dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic and how well we are prepared to welcome you on board once again!

We recognize that COVID-19 has brought cleanliness and hygiene standards to the fore front of your mind when making travel decisions; we have remodelled our infrastructure to ensure that safety and operational efficiency remain paramount. We’re not leaving a single stone unturned in our pursuit to protect our customers and employees.

Our Procedures at the terminal have been audited to ensure your health and well being is enhanced. From cleanliness and disinfection, floor markings, controlled queuing, and signage to help facilitate proper spacing. Hygiene stations with hand sanitizers, use of face coverings by airport staff and/or protective clear screens placed between customers and staff offer greater protection ,temperature checks using thermal imaging cameras or hand-held thermometers at various points in the journey.

We are committed to creating a more touch less journey. We now recommend all our passengers to check-in digitally for their flights. This limits contact with airport staff. We are also offering additional contactless services including self-baggage drop and boarding.

To allow passengers to make educated decisions about their travel plans, we will regularly update travel information on our website. This includes providing an overview of the measures that have been put in place to safeguard the wellbeing of travellers.
