Safety and Quality Culture

Airkenya‘s success depends on safe and reliable flight operations. We take pride in the health and safety of our passengers, crew and employees. We uphold high standards of safety in our day-to-day operations guided by the regulatory requirements set by the international safety body, ICAO, as well as our state’s aviation authority – Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA). We are committed to integrating safety values and beliefs into all our organisational activities and business decisions by providing appropriate human and financial resources to achieve the highest level of safety performance.

Our objective is to manage identifiable risks and to eliminate injury to persons and damage to equipment. To that end, we continuously examine our operation for hazards to find ways to reduce them through our safety oversight activities and strive for continuous improvement.

We appreciate that the total elimination of occurrences, incidents and accidents is unachievable. Preparing for the unthinkable is challenging, but it is a principal part of our culture at Airkenya. We believe it’s better to be prepared for something that does not happen than be unprepared for when something does.
